In Latin Solo, we dance Latin as solo dancers – without partners!

Latin Solo in General

Latin Solo is gaining popularity worldwide as more dancers embrace the possibility and the ability to express themselves more creatively without a partner.

It started due to a lack of partners, especially in the competitive world. In most cases, there were not enough male dancers to pair with female dancers in competitions, hence Latin Solo was introduced in ballroom dancing competitions to allow dancers without partners to still take part in competitions.

Latin Solo uses steps, figures, and techniques from Latin Partner, but danced solo without a partner.

About Zyen

Latin Solo by Zyenhoo is started by Zyen who took part in Latin Solo competitions.

At that time, she had been teaching other styles of dance in a dance studio, and when her students found out that she competed in Latin Solo competitions, they asked if she could teach them Latin Solo in a non-competitive environment.

So this is how our Latin Solo dance classes started.

Our Latin Solo dance classes are NOT meant for competitive dancers.

Our Latin Solo dance classes are designed to make Latin dancing accessible especially to ladies who have always wanted to learn Latin dancing but do not have a partner, or do not wish to dance with a partner.
